The Irish Forum for Global Education invites you to commemorate the 6th International Day of Education on 24th January. Join an online lunchtime event from 12.30pm to 2pm discussing Global Education for Lasting Peace with contributions from distinguished speakers Tony Gallagher (Emeritus Professor at Queen’s University), Agathe Freal (Education Adviser at Concern Worldwide), and Maulin Utaminingsih (Project Manager at Plan International Indonesia).

GPE Raise Your Hand Live! on Education Day 2024
Join the Global Partnership for Education at 2.30pm Irish time (9:30am EST) for their online discussion that will bring together Laura Frigenti (CEO of the Global Partnership for Education) and Yasmine Sherif (Executive Director of Education Cannot Wait). Hosted by GPE Youth Leader Heela Yoon, a peace and education activist based in the UK and founder of Afghan Youth Ambassadors for Peace, this Raise Your Hand LIVE! aims to highlight the critical link between education and peace.

The International Parliamentary Network for Education sent a briefing to members of parliament to mark the 6th International Day of Education. The briefing provides ways in which parliamentarians around the world can use the International Day of Education to make the case for vital, urgent action in support of education.
