The Irish Forum for Global Education invites to an online event in commemoration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which was celebrated on 11th February.

We will show an interview with inspiring Liberian Youth Advocate Jamesetta Pinky Gibson about her path in science and will hear from the Liberian Girls Tech Club as well as Misean Cara:

We celebrated the ninth International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Established by the United Nations, this day highlights the critical role women and girls play in science and technology and is implemented by the UNESCO and UN Women. It is a day to promote full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls, a cause the IFGE and its members are fully committed to.

The Irish Forum for Global Education (IFGE) is a voluntary network of civil society actors and education stakeholders committed to promoting knowledge and effective responses to global education issues, with a particular focus on education in development and emergencies and achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. The Forum is affiliated to the Global Campaign for Education.
