Today starts the Global Action Week for Education 2024, #GAWE2024, and we invite you to join us in our call for public and transformative education worldwide!

The Global Action Week for Education is a week-long campaign, coordinated by the Global Campaign for Education (GCE) and celebrated globally by education movements and advocates to remind governments and other decision-makers to deliver on the global commitments for education.

This year, the Global Action Week for Education, is all about Transformative Education. We are asking governments to invest in public and transformative, inclusive and equitable quality education for all now!

We need education to be free to all and transformative worldwide! Why? Because education serves as the cornerstone for achieving our collective aspirations, including the full realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals and fundamental human rights.

So today, join us as our Chairperson Aodán Ó Clúmháin kicks off the Global Action Week for Education:

Later this week, on Wednesday, 24^th April, 11am we invite you to join our global event here in Ireland, to have a conversation with the Irish National Teachers’ Organisation (INTO), ActionAid, and the Global Campaign for Education about the Landmark UN Recommendations to Transform the Teaching Profession. This event is one of the regional events of ENACE (Europe and North America Campaign for Education).
